The very first thing the successful portrait photographer must do is listen.

Just as an artist paints a portrait from life, the collaboration with your subject is key.
Every person is unique, and every portrait should be different, and crafted to reflect
who they are, even in a subtle and subconcious way. The tone, mood and setting
should say something not just about their personality, but should also
relate to how and where the portrait will be used.
