7:30 pm til 9:30 pm
Includes Wine and Cheese After Party – 9:30 pm til 10:30 pm
Join Robin in a Salon-Style discussion on ways to use your digital imagery to create meaningful and decorative art. We will explore a variety of printing papers, and other surfaces such as silk, canvas, metal, glass and porcelain tiles. Robin will also demonstrate her MOVING IMAGES sculptural installation.
Each participant is asked to bring six of their favorite images to share, that we will review as a group. We will consider possible printing methods and options for final production as pieces of art, as well as the importance of editing for exhibition to create a cohesive body
of work for display. Also we'll discuss the importance of scale, proportion and placement for maximum effect and some tricks to consider from an Interior Designer's point of view.
of work for display. Also we'll discuss the importance of scale, proportion and placement for maximum effect and some tricks to consider from an Interior Designer's point of view.
Robin will begin with a short talk about the impact of photographic imagery, and how it can enhance room decor and architectural spaces in unique ways, beyond the traditional framed and matted print, and in forms you may not have previously considered. Actual materials will be on hand, and examples of printing surfaces and techniques will be on display. Robin will share tips on exposing images for specific printing techniques, and share her personal resouces and recommendations for your work. After the review and discussion of everyone's images, we will have an informal wine and cheese party to celebrate!
