Robin Davis Photography is a unique blend of imagery, photography and photo illustration, available as fine art prints or for licensing as stock, but it is the combination of opposites in these unusual fine art images that make them so unique and appropriate for both for stock photography and photoillustration and fine art use. The moody Italy scenes and landscapes from the Images from Tuscany series, have poetic views that add an air of mystery beyond the normal scope of travel photography. The coastal Georgia series has another mood altogether and offers scenes views landscapes and the nature of Georgia's hidden coastal regions. The 13 Women series features beautiful goddesses and strong female characters from history, mythology and literature and the creepy Monsters series illustrates the darker sides of our own human nature while paying homage to the lighting of old black and white films and the characters we loved in old scary movies. Vintage and period costumes play an important part in these photo illustrations of characters from all time periods and have been used on book covers internationally. Black and white photography as well as color imagery is represented, and different film, lighting and techniques come together to make each photo unique. Who are the dogs is a black and white series of portraits featuring dog characters from Italy. Another unusual series shows documentary images and portraits of Ramesses I, the lost pharaoh of Egypt. The photos of Ramesses I illustrate his strong character and the mystery of his persona as general and king so long ago. Robin Davis has found a way to blend photography as stock and fine art and to use photo illustration to describe the unique and moody world of her scenes and characters. It is unusual to see such a variety of subjects, from dogs to goddesses to coastal and Italy landscapes treated with the same vision and poetic mystery. Robin Davis Photography has been a resource for those seeking images for book covers, photoillustration, stock, commercial use and fine art prints. The creepy and the beautiful combine in a dance of opposites, and the more you look, the more you will see. The faces of odd dogs from her black and white photography series become character portraits and the vintage costumes of the goddesses, monsters and visual characters take you into other realms. These views of travel in Tuscany Italy and along coastal Georgia are photo illustrations of landscapes and scenes that transcend the reality of nature.
